Statement

‘Presently the subject’s of my paintings include the surroundings world and universal Contemporary events which I get to know from different electronics media, News paper etc. They disturb me in different way’s which directly or indirectly affect my paintings. On the other hand reality of human life-excess expectation resulting into lack of balance in our present societies violent behaviour on part of its occupants locally and globally are my other concern which directly or indirectly affect my concerns and find expressions on the canvases through symbolic means. These concerns of mine get expressed through a representational style and language that is specifically of my own. My basic forms include human figures, large size human portraits presenting different expressions through the means of bold lines, textural variations. Some titles that I have used to identify my works are --- “Best to close your eyes”, “Dramatic forms”, “Time hunting”, “Weights of media”, “Games of life”, “Effects of media”, “Social violence” “life of Jhoparpatti”, “Untitled relationship” etc. My favorite medium remains to be mixed media that compiles acrylic paint, oil pastel, dry pastel, conte, charcoal, oil paint, water colour so on and so forth in variable combinations. And finally in a last word I would like to say that my paintings are messages of social consciousness, my concern for the society I live in but my works also present fancies and fantasies which one might not expect to come across the real would.’
