Biography

Born in Burdwan, West Bengal in 1971. She did her post-graduation in Painting from Kala Bhavan, Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan in 1997. She also did One year program at Glasgow School of Art, Glasgow, U.K in 2001. She has had more than 10 solo shows in India and abroad since Can We Really Look Beyond the Map?, New Delhi in 2000 to her recent show I Dig, I Look Down, London in 2008. Among her other selected solo shows are:
HalfFull, Part I & II, at New York and New Delhi in 2007, Drawing Room, I and II, at New Delhi in 2007-06 and Mumbai in 2006
Its Good to be Queen, New York in 2006
I Hate Pink, Mumbai in 2003 and Unbelongings, Mackintosh Gallery, Glasgow in 2001. She has participated in many group shows around the world, to mention a few: Exploding the Lotus, Art & Culture Centre of Hollywood, Florida in 2008
