Biography

Born in Patna, Bihar. She pursued her Bachelors in Fine Arts (Painting) from College of Fine Arts & Crafts, Patna, India in 1986 and Masters in Fine Arts (Painting) from College of Arts, New Delhi in 1992. She worked at Regional Centre in Lucknow on Grant scholarship from Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, India. Among her prominent solo shows are-

Vigorous at Gallery Chemould, Mumbai in 1994 and Dawn at Shridharani Gallery, New Delhi in 1990. She was the artist-in-residence at Greatmore Studios, Cape Town, South Africa from 2000-2001 along with the participation in exhibition Holland South Africa Line (2001-2004). Among the workshops she attended, prominent are: International Workshop, Khoj Kashmir, Srinagar in 2007
