Statement

For me, colour is an experience. It is the internalized perception of a world that is complex which in its materiality on canvas or paper becomes the embodiment of a transcendentally lucid concentration. While colour became the core around which my work evolved, it also became the immersive environment within which I explored texture. Then I realized that colour was much more than a mere experience it became the fulcrum of my foundation and through it I created temporal as well as contemplative energies. The forms that get reduced or magnified in my works are more a passage to my experiences and associations they are the artistic quest within me, because they are born out of propositions of apply and excavate, add and subtract. In that process they are aimed at the ultimate search the path of a creative state that seeks integration with the sublime.
