Statement

My work is rooted in the language of the script. Over the years, I have used script as a king of sign that reflects experience. Of course the script reveals different meanings to different people, and I think over time painting is also a kind of writing. The manner in which I use the script over colour, sometimes floating, sometimes submerged all seem to echo the seen and the unseen. I believe that the desire to articulate comes unconsciously. When I create I don't think about the stimulus or the result but the movement of associations through inner and outer spaces gives me the power to communicate onto the canvas.

Statement

For me, colour is an experience. It is the internalized perception of a world that is complex which in its materiality on canvas or paper becomes the embodiment of a transcendentally lucid concentration. While colour became the core around which my work evolved, it also became the immersive environment within which I explored texture. Then I realized that colour was much more than a mere experience – it became the fulcrum of my foundation and through it I created temporal as well as contemplative energies. The forms that get reduced or magnified in my works are more a passage to my experiences and associations – they are the artistic quest within me, because they are born out of propositions of apply and excavate, add and subtract. In that process they are aimed at the ultimate search – the path of a creative state that seeks integration with the sublime.
