Dushyant Patel (B. 1987) is a multidisciplinary artist based out of Baroda. Working across the media's of painting and printmaking, Patel has pursued his undergraduate studies at the C.N. College of Fine Arts Ahmedabad and his post-diploma from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University of Baroda. A painter and a printmaker based out of Baroda, Dushyant Patel’s work stands as a testament to his command over material and strive for perfection. He questions various aspects of the social realm by utilising humour as a shield, in an attempt to understand his place in society.
His work has seen participation in many national and international exhibitions through various group and solo presentations like Rhapsody of Realities, Archer Art Gallery, Ahmedabad 2022, The Print: Matter in Matrix, curated by Bhavna Kakar and Satyajit Dave, Latitude 28, Delhi 2020, Seven Printmakers of Baroda Faculty of Fine Arts, Baroda 2018, Bienala international de,gravura mica,grapium – Timisoara – Romania 2017, Out of shadows, Pune Biennale, Pune 2017, to name a few. Patel has also been a recipient of many awards such as the prestigious H R D fellowship in 2016, the prestigious H R D SCHOLARSHIP Award 2011, Gujarat State Lalit Kala Academy, Print making (Artist Category) Ahmedabad 2009, amongst others.
He currently lives and works in Baroda.
