Vipul Badva explores working-class architecture by creating a topography lined up with semi-permanent cabins, often existing on the outskirts of the urban metropolis. He draws inspiration from objects and people that surround and fascinate him. Rather than creating a grim reality of transient living, Badva adopts a playful tone to portray life on the fringes of the city.
He has been part of several group exhibitions including Forms and Figures (2025), Reveries of Quaintness presented by Art Alive Gallery (2023), Patterns of Intensity (2021), at Art Alive Gallery, The Seven Visions (2021), Care of Ahmedabad, Rearranging the Familiar (2022), Art Alive x The Quorum, Transmutations (2022), Art Alive Gallery at India Art Fair. He was awarded the Shristi AIF grant in 2020.
The artist lives and works in Gujarat.
