Art Alive Gallery brings to you the fifth edition of Collectors Weekend which relooks at the culture of storytelling in contemporary art through the works of Viren Tanwar, Manisha Gera Baswani, Maya Burman, Nayanaa Kanodia and Jignasha Ojha.

“Every Life has a Story”- storytelling has been an intrinsic part of many cultures since times immemorial; the medium of storytelling, however, has evolved through the ages. The artists’ canvas has witnessed many forms of these stories as they have often been inspired to depict realities rooted in their personal thoughts and memories. In this collection, the artists work with a technique that stems from the miniature tradition and focuses on intricate details creating a lyrical account of stories. Largely reflective of the socio-political conditions prevailing in the world, the artists bring forth a narrative where they explore their individual imagination while leaving the viewers to formulate their own perception of reality.
