Shibu Natesan Mirror Man,MirrorMe Part II Watercolours: 2014 - 2025 rd Preview: Friday, 23 January, 2026 The show will be on view at Art Alive Gallery till 1st March, 2026 . Art Alive Gallery brings to you Shibu Natesan: Mirror Man, Mirror Me, Part II a solo show of the renowned artist. This exhibition marks the second chapter of one of the most comprehensive presentations of Shibu Natesan’s watercolours to date. Spread across two floors of the gallery, the show brings together works created over the past decade, offering a deep insight into the evolution of the artist’s distinctive visual language. The show will preview alongside the launch of the publication on the artist with contributions by eminent art historians and writers like Parul Dave Mukherji, Lina Vincent and Ina Puri. Mirror Man, Mirror Me, Part II invites viewers into a contemplative space where seeing becomes a form of listening, and painting emerges as a quiet, instinctive response to fleeting moments. The title draws from the interwoven realms of art, philosophy, music, and lived experience, reflecting the artist’s long-standing engagement with introspection. For Natesan, the mirror is both a personal object and a metaphor, reminding us that what resides within is inevitably reflected outward. Shibu Natesan’s artistic practice inhabits a nomadic, open-ended relationship with the world. He embraces a life simplified to essentials, free from social ambition, guided instead by curiosity, connection, and surrender. His body of work is shaped by encounters on his travels: a road, a forest and a multitude of stories. These experiences gather as layers in his paintings, each mark carrying the residue of a place lived and felt embracing the impermanence of each passing moment. In an age increasingly shaped by technology, Natesan affirms a slower, deeper way of seeing.
